Services include general and in depth advice and assessment for Conservation with full reports when required

Francis Downing also works in the Detection and Investigation of Forged works, for Police forces in the U.K. and Europe and has linked through Interpol with investigations in the U.S.

Francis Downing lectures and gives talks to Insurance Investigators, Police and other professional bodies on the detection of forgeries and also to Colleges and Students of Art on the Conservation and Restoration of Paintings.

The Studio has great experience in dealing with these artworks and the problems they face, from examination and preparing reports for ‘Grants’ and Faculties, to restoring and advising on the future conservation of this important heritage
