Paintings and artwork within churches are generally unique – Hatchments, Royal Arms and painted fixtures such as organ cases
and decorative ceilings.
Many paintings, particularly those carried out for the church may have spent years within cold and damp conditions, High upon a wall and sometimes beneath leaking roofs, often unseen and taken for granted.
The Studio has great experience in dealing with these artworks and the problems they face, from examination and preparing reports for ‘Grants’ and Faculties, to restoring and advising on the future conservation of this important heritage.
